I know that it can be stressful to coordinate and plan your photography session so I am here to make it as easy as possible!
I will help you choose a location depending on the “look” that you wish to achieve. We can meet outdoors at a local park (weather permitting) or you can come to my studio. The best time to take photographs outdoors is in the first few hours of morning light or in the last few hours of evening daylight. The light is most pleasing at these times. However, we can work around your schedule to plan a session that is best for you and your family!
Here are a few tips to make your session the best it can be:
1) Be sure to consult my “What to Wear” page on Pinterest here.
2) It’s important for your kids to be fed and well rested. Try not to select a session time that is during nap time or meal time. Avoid food/drinks that stain the skin prior to the photo session.
3) Bring along a special toy or blanket so that your child can feel comfortable at the session.
4) Try to relax a bit before the session! Allow yourself plenty of time to get ready and have your outfits planned out ahead of time. Rushing around just prior to the session can cause unnecessary stress.
5) Prior to your session, send me any ideas that you have for poses. I will make sure to create the most flattering photos of you and your family!
6) Don’t worry about your children acting out during our session. I want them to have fun and will make sure to rein them back in when necessary.
7) Be ready to have fun! We will laugh and create photographs that you will cherish for a lifetime!
8) I will be sure to get plenty of photographs to fill your gallery so you will have a lot of choices for your final images. I aim to include 20 images in your full session gallery. For a mini session, I aim to include 10.
9) About 2-3 weeks after your session, you will receive a link (via email) to your gallery of proofs along with ordering instructions. I will send you a second email to let you know that your gallery email has been sent!
